fabric owl clip

I picked up a craft show to sell at this weekend. I know - I'm crazy! I have been busy trying to make enough product to have a full booth.

I have been feeling great lately. In fact, I think this must be how some pregnant women feel most of the time. I am so grateful to be feeling like this now! I don't know why this pregnancy has been so different. Different in the beginning with the placenta problems, and different now in the end with feeling so great. Whatever the reasons, I'm so happy to almost have my baby boy here. He will complete our family. I'm looking forward to all the new experiences we will have with him. The doctor gave me my c-section date today. We are planning on January 28, 2010. We'll see if that's the date. I had a planned date for Charlotte too, but she came two days sooner.

I came up with this little fabric owl clip to add to my store. Mostly I made it because I am crazy for owls. Kamille and Charlotte really like her too.

Saturday Snowday

Oh, What do you do when you wake-up to lots of snow?
First, go buy new snow boots and coats. Then, play all day in the snow!

After, you gotta snuggle up in jammies for a movie. But you must have hot chocolate and cookies!

Kamille's Thanksgiving Program

This afternoon we went to Kamille's program. They have been practicing for a few weeks now. Kamille is a pilgram woman. She had a cute little part. They made their own bonnets, colars, vests, and indian hats. It was so cute! It was short and sweet because it was only her grade. Both sets of grandparents came!

making stuff

I found a new fun store here to sell my stuff at. It has been going well, and they requested more! I love picking out new fabric and ribbon for more "stuff".

wipe cases
Owls are still a huge hit.

tag blankies

bow holders
I've had a big interest in these colors.
I like having a store in town to supply. It makes it easier for me. Plus no where else in town has stuff like mine!
Of course, you can still get any of these things on my blogspot store.

short dos

Well the girls are sportin' new short haircuts thanks to my cosmetologist sister. Kamille has been asking to get her long hair cut for a few weeks now. I tried to talk her out of it. I like to be able to put her hair in ponys and stuff. But she really, really wanted it cut. While Kamille was getting her hair cut, Charlotte decided she wanted her hair cut just like Kamille. So we went for it! I do like it on both of them. They look cute and nothing beats the self-confidence from getting a new do!
Thanks to their talented Aunt who is always willing to make us beautiful.

I know - I just had to make 'em!

I thought of these "turkey shirts" one day and just had to do them for my girls. I actually intended on making the turkey feathers more traditional colors like orange, red, yellow, and brown. I would have put that one on a white shirt. But after I got looking at fabric, I had to go with pink and turquoise on brown! I'm glad I did because the girls fell in love!
I found a turkey coloring page. Blew it up and cut it out. I ironed heat & bond on my fabrics and traced on the pieces. Then cut out the fabric pieces. I ironed those onto my shirt. Stitched around the edges and added eyes. It really was easy!
Kamille had to wear it to school today! I hope she's not too hot because it's suppose to be unseasonably warm today. I'm glad I got these done early - they can wear them all season!
Charlotte has pre school today. We got her all ready too! She says her turkey is a girl.
So our other traditional turkeys didn't match their shirts....I had to make matching ones!
The girls wanted to clip their turkeys onto headbands. Kamille's turkey is back-facing. Charlotte's is front-facing.
You don't know how badly I want to make them pink and turquoise corduroy matching skirts!!!!
...maybe I will....
So, would you have went traditional turkeys or crazy like me and do non-traditional?
****If you really want one, traditional or not, I would make you one. Call or email and we can talk about it.

Halloween 2009

Kamille as "Little Bo Peep".

Charlotte as "Barbie and the Three Musketeers, the purple one".

We celebrated Halloween all week long!
We went to a party with my family. These are some of the Tubbs grand kids. We were missing four. How sad! But we did have a great party. We played games and grandma told them a fun story.

We went to the Fowler's Halloween party. There are all of the Fowler grand kids. We had fun here, too! We ate, played games, and carved pumpkins. It's nice to live close enough to everyone that we can go to all the festivities.

Brad, Charlotte, and Grandpa carving pumpkins.

Our masterpieces.

The kids would rake up the leaves and then jump off the swings into them. Fun times!

We went to a corn maze on Halloween. It was so much fun!

We went through the corn maze, played games, and petted the horse.

Happy Fall!
